About Retreat
Sheana and Monique welcome you to join them for an unforgettable 6-night (7 day) retreat at Casas Kismet, a stunning boutique retreat center overlooking the Pacific Ocean in peaceful Playa Pelada. Monique and Sheana trust that you will experience the deep healing and nourishment of this precious land, which continues to attract people on the path of healing and awakening consciousness.
This retreat will be a journey into the heart through yin and mindful flow yoga, guided meditation, self-inquiry and connection to the beauty of the jungle environment. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the heart is associated with the summer season. When our heart energy (chi) is balanced and flowing, we awaken our vitality – experiencing joy, creativity, and compassion. Our retreat will include nourishing practices to support the healthy flow of chi through the heart channel. Our bodies will also be nourished by fresh, locally sourced, delicious meals prepared by Casas Kismet’s in-house private chef.
There will be ample time to relax, enjoy our private salt water pool and local beach, surf, explore the beautiful shops in Guinones or take an adventure tour.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommended. Purchasing CFAR (cancel for any reason) travel insurance helps to mitigate any unexpected circumstances such as medical issues prior to traveling or while traveling, last minute flight cancellations or personal issues that might affect your trip. Participants have found great rates and policies through Travel Guard.
Getting to Casas Kismet
Casas Kismet is located in PlayaPelada in Nosara, Costa Rica - 70 miles south of Liberia International Airport (LIR). We strongly recommend arriving at least one day early (June 14), to allow time to feel settled and account for any unexpected travel delays. Please book an arrival flight that lands in LIR no later than 2pm on June 15.
We recommend these lovely accommodations near Casas Kismet for early arrivals. There are also plenty of wonderful Airbnb locations nearby.
A special experience could be to book one or more nights upon arrival (or after the retreat) at the beautiful Rio Perdido Hot Springs (just 1 hour from LIR).
Note: Shuttle transport is only covered to & from LIR Airport <> Nosara.

Sheana is a Somatic Wellness Coach, Yoga Mentor, and Yoga & Meditation Teacher
Sheana has dedicated 20 years to studying with renowned yoga and spiritual mentors in Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Taoist Yoga, Buddhism and 12-Step Recovery. A humble and grateful student, Sheana teaches weekly Yin Yoga classes, workshops, retreats and leads the Yin Yoga Mentoring Program at YogaFlow in San Francisco.
Monique is a Holistic Psychotherapist and Yoga & Meditation Teacher offering an integrative approach to healing blending Eastern Spirituality & Western Psychology. Her offerings include: Somatic (body-centered) Psychotherapy, EMDR, Therapeutic Yoga (Yin & Mindful Flow), Meditation and Breathwork.
