Replenish the Body for Winter

DSCF8366.jpg

Winter is the most Yin aspect in Traditional Chinese Medicine. A time of stillness when the earth lies fallow with dark, cold, slow energy; yet we continue to strive and rarely take time to rest....

When we don’t align with the slower qualities of Winter, we can experience the Winter Blues with feelings of being down, depression and low energy.

About the Event

Immerse yourself into a deeply relaxing and grounding Yin Yoga experience. Release tension from your weary body, make space in your heart and give your immune system a boost. You’ll emerge feeling deeply renewed and replenished and ready to embrace the Winter. Join me as we prep the body, heart and mind for Winter.

When we don’t align with the slower qualities of Winter, we can experience the Winter Blues with feelings of being down, depression and low energy. The good news? Winter is an opportune time to focus on replenishing that inward energy as it naturally re-ignites itself to prepare for the outburst of new life and energy in the Spring. Taking time to pause and rest is critically important to boost our immune systems and replenish our bodies, hearts and minds.

This 2 hour mini-retreat includes

  • Yin yoga to stimulate the physical organs of the body, especially the Kidneys + Bladder which are the organs related to Winter, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

  • Long held delicious Yin Yoga poses focused on opening the back body and inner thighs to replenish the Kidneys + Bladder energetic meridians to help release fear, insecurity and depression.

  • Guided pranayama (breathwork) & meditation.

  • Restorative yoga to allow the body to metabolize the benefits of this deep practice.
